About Us:

Openwindow Photo Gallery is a privately-owned and operated website graciously hosted by “Squarespace” for the benefit of its site members, and it is our purpose to provide guests and visitors who log-in exceptional viewing opportunities of the proprietary photographs posted on this website.

The photos posted on the website are low-res.jpeg images to minimize storage space on the website; therefore, only suitable for printing a 4”x6” or at best a 5”x7” color print if you try to print them directly from the website. If you want copies, send me an e-mail at: jd@openwindowphoto.com requesting your individual photos if you will state the Album Number and Photo Sequence Numbers (i.e.,“Gallery 04-2012 Tauck 12-Day Rhine-Moselle River Cruise, Day 05, photos -33, -45-51 and -87 - 5”x7” print size, borderless,”etc.) I also provide a full set of photos by event on a CD-R or DVD-R (as appropriate based on the number of photos), which include sets of high-resolution images (2.0 to 3.0 MB) more suitable for printing. In your request, please include your current mailing address where you want the package sent and I will respond back to you with an e-mail stating that I have received your request. You pay using the enclosed invoice in the package and payment by check is preferred (instructions included on the invoice). I can also load them on a flash drive if you do not have a DVD drive that will accept CDs/DVDs and you have a USB port on your computer system. Those with cell phones only, I suggest you get a cable with a USB port or a disk drive that attaches to your phone. I’m against WEBSHARE sites, but I have posted a few photos of mine taken on trips to the shared website for the trip/event just to spark some interest. I prefer that you log onto my website for the full presentation.

Those who have traveled with me on my adventures usually request the full set of photos (which are very reasonably priced) to add to their photos or simply use mine as a slideshow presentation showing where they were and what they saw on the trip (somehow forgetting to mention who really took the photos.) Some only request specific pictures with them in the pictures to supplement their own photos. On a few of the trips, I have separated out and created individual folders for those on the trip, so that made it a lot easier to order just their photos. The albums within each gallery are like a travel-log documentary starting with a summary of that day’s events, a map of where we went and what we saw each day, which makes a great slideshow presentation. I often go back myself and view an album and reflect just how great that event/trip really was. My gallery gives you a sneak preview to help you decide if that event is worth investing your own time/money for your own adventures. So, give it a shot……JDT

Additional Comment: Squarespace presents their images on their websites always in a square format, hence the name Squarespace. So, to view the full image as I took it, you have to “double-click” on the image to see the full image.
